At Minera Bateas, we develop a safe and sustainable underground mining operation in the Caylloma district, at more than 4,500 meters above sea level. Our production is based on the extraction and processing of polymetallic minerals (lead and zinc, as main products), operating with high standards of safety, efficiency and environmental care.
Our Mine
Underground technology and efficiency. Our deposit is a low-to-intermediate sulfidation epithermal vein system. We apply the upward cut-and-fill method, adapted to the geological characteristics of our deposit. Furthermore, in 2024, we implemented the Sub Level Stoping (long holes) mining method in narrow vein zones, which improves productivity and safety by reducing our employees' exposure to the fire line.
We are also implementing a Mine Control Center, which monitors processes such as ventilation, pumping, energy, and maintenance in real time. This integrated system improves decision-making, reduces operational failures, and strengthens incident prevention.

Our Plant
Occupational Health and Safety
Committed to the well-being of our people. At Minera Bateas, safety is a core value. We promote a culture of prevention that protects the physical and mental health of our employees. In 2024, we completed the year without any fatal accidents and were recognized with the Plaque of Honor in Underground Mining, awarded by the ISEM (National Institute of Statistics and Censuses).
We manage 15 critical risks through advanced technology, specialized training, and our "Zero Harm" program, which promotes prevention at all levels. For us, safety isn't just a standard: it's our way of doing business.
