Caylloma strengthens its education with support from the Management Committee and MIBSAC

Teachers receive diplomas and school furniture thanks to the Social Development Fund managed by the Bateas Mining Committee (MIBSAC).

Caylloma, June 24, 2025. The Caylloma District Management Committee, of which Minera Bateas (MIBSAC) is a member, continues to strengthen access to quality education with two new key actions: the awarding of diplomas to teachers who have completed specialized courses, and the provision of school furniture to district institutions.
The award ceremony took place at the "Gran Libertador Simón Bolívar" Elementary School, where teachers who successfully completed the diplomas in Pedagogical Coaching and Artificial Intelligence and Educational Management, developed by EDUPAD, were recognized. Teachers from the "San Francisco de Asís" school in Jachaña also participated.

"We're going to continue building on what we've learned. This commitment to education benefits both students and us, the teachers," said Luis Antonio Chunga, director of the host institution.

At the same time, the Santa Rosa de Lima High School received a final delivery of furniture as part of the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) implementation project, which also includes computers, interactive whiteboards, connectivity, and infrastructure.
During the activity, teachers and local authorities invited participants to evaluate and maintain the equipment, highlighting the collaborative work that led to these improvements.
Edwin Ramos, Community Relations Manager at MIBSAC, explained: “Quality education requires adequate infrastructure and trained teachers. With these deliveries, we reinforce our commitment to the development of Caylloma.”

These actions are financed by the Caylloma Social Development Fund, valid until October 2025, within the framework of the Framework Agreement signed between Minera Bateas, the Caylloma District Municipality, and the United Front for the Defense of the Interests of the Caylloma District (FUDICAY), valid until 2027.
