Caylloma students strengthen their communication skills with MIBSAC through radio sessions, community film, and participatory projects.
Caylloma, June 19, 2025. For the third consecutive year, Minera Bateas (MIBSAC) launched a new edition of its "Community Communicators" program, aimed at high school students in the Caylloma district.
The program seeks to strengthen youth leadership through theoretical and practical sessions focused on public speaking, radio communication, values, and citizenship. Participants will host a weekly radio program broadcast on a local station, in addition to participating in field activities, informational modules, and community film sessions.
“I like the workshop because it helps me develop my skills,” commented Shina Quispe, one of the participants. Ruth Ccasa added: “Today we learned by observing our classmates. That will help us communicate better.”
Eduardo Asmat, Director of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at MIBSAC, emphasized: “We believe in the potential of young people to lead positive changes. This program provides them with tools to build critical citizenship.”
Since its creation in 2023, the program has benefited students at the Simón Bolívar Elementary School in Caylloma, promoting youth participation in local development through communication as a tool for transformation.
